Campos Racing returns to GTC SupaCup action

After missing Round 5 of this year’s Global Touring Cars (GTC) SupaCup due to the birth of Keegan  Campos’ daughter, the team will be back in action at Killarney International Raceway this coming weekend (16-17 September) for the penultimate round of the season.

Keegan will head up the team’s efforts. Missing the previous championship round saw him drop two positions from third in the championship. Still, with no midfield drivers capitalising too much on his absence, there are only eight points between parts three through five. With Keagan Masters missing the weekend due to commitments abroad, Keegan Campos knows that reclaiming one of the positions should be relatively easy.

Iain Pepper, the grandfather of Keegan’s daughter, also missed the previous round but will be back behind the wheel of Rui Campos’ car for the second time. This, however, doesn’t mean Rui will not be racing. As Jason Campos will be attending to family matters, Rui will be driving the Turn 1 Insurance Brokers / Campos Transport Polo SupaCup. Both drivers compete in the GTC SupaCup and the Interprovincial GTC SupaCup Masters class.

Official practice commences on Friday, while Saturday will see two races, the first at 13:10 and the second at 16:05. While spectators are welcome to attend the event, the action will be streamed live via the 2WheelsTV YouTube Channel.
